Is your beef grass-fed?

Yes, in part. We raise our cattle from beginning to end on the range and in the pasture. However, when it comes time to finish the animal, we grain-finish in the pasture. To finish we use a combination of corn, grass, and cover crop. We believe that combination gives us a premium flavor profile for our beef.     

Where do you get your beef? 

All our beef is born and raised on the family ranch near Buffalo, Wyoming. We can tell you almost anything about the animal you consume from bloodlines, health history, temperament, etc. 

Who butchers your beef? 

We process our beef at Western Heritage Meat Company. It is a USDA inspected meat processing company located in Sheridan, Wyoming. We consider them a vital partner in delivering the best quality product we can. Find out more about them here: https://www.westernheritagemeatco.com/

How is your beef packaged?

All our beef is vacuum sealed. 

How will my beef be shipped to me? 

We ship your beef frozen in a sturdy cardboard box with 2-inch Styrofoam. You can choose to ship overnight or 2-day, we recommend you choose overnight to ensure a fast delivery.

 Will I be able to track my package? 

Yes. We work closely with UPS to ensure quality service and timely deliveries. You will be notified when your package has shipped and be given your tracking number.

When will my package be sent to me? 

We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure your package has plenty of time to arrive to you safely. 

Is your beef flash frozen? 

Yes, Western Heritage Meat Company’s processing butchers flash freeze all beef cuts once they have been packaged.

Are there any additives to your beef?

No. You are getting a 100% natural product, unlike store-bought beef uses additives to keep meat red in appearance.

What is dry-aging? Is your beef dry-aged? 

Dry-Aging is the process of hanging freshly slaughtered beef ibn a temperature-controlled environment before being trimmed and cut into steaks. Although dry-aging takes time, we believe it adds flavor and tenderness to our beef. 

Yes, we dry-age our beef. We dry-age our beef for 21 to 28 days at Western Heritage Meat Company in their temperature-controlled cooler. 

Do you give your cattle growth hormones? 

No, we do not use growth hormones, and we believe it leads to a lower quality product. 

Do you use antibiotics? 

 If an animal becomes sick, we do treat the animal. Sometimes treatment is simply taking the animal to a lower altitude, sometimes it's electrolytes, and sometimes it's a 72-hour antibiotic. Antibiotics are given only if necessary, and usually just once to the animal that needs it.   

 Will I have room in my freezer?

Our most popular package is the 25-pound package, which is about a cubic foot of space, and has no trouble fitting into the available freezer space of an ordinary home refrigerator.

What weight are the ground beef packages?

Ground beef and stew meat come in approximately 1-pound packages.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it. After that, it will have been processed, and you won’t be able to cancel.

Do you ship internationally? 

We only ship and sell in the USA. We are not currently capable of shipping internationally because we cannot guarantee quality. 

What shipping carriers do you use?

We choose USPS, UPS, DHL and FedEx. 

How long does it take to process my order? 

We process your order immediately after you complete the purchase. However, shipping time varies. 

How long does shipping take? 

It depends on when the order is placed, and what type of shipping you select. Ultimately, it depends on the shipping provider.

We will send you the tracking number as soon as the order has shipped.  You then follow the tracking link provided to track your order.

Are all my items shipped together?

It depends on the products you ordered. Generally, depending on what package or individual cut you ordered the items will be shipped together.
